Kobo Clara 2E

I’ve always enjoyed reading on my iPad mini (2019). However, since I recently upgraded to the iPad Pro, I decided it was time to retire my iPad mini in favor of the “Pro” variant.

I really missed the small form factor of the iPad mini, especially for reading. The iPad Pro is unwieldy to read on, and I rarely use it in portrait mode.

So, I began looking to e-readers. After extensive research, I ultimately chose the Kobo Clara 2E.

My first impression is that I love the size of this thing. I’ve always had a fixation for smaller tech products. The best thing about the Clara 2E is how much longer the battery lasts compared to the iPad mini. I found myself reading a lot more as a result.

The display is sharp, and the text is clear and legible. You can also change the brightness and the colour temperature of the display, which is standard for most e-readers.

The operating system is simple to use, in contrast to its competitor, which I found to be cluttered and intrusive with its constant nagging to sell me books.

Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I recommend the Kobo Clara 2E to anyone who is looking for a tiny, but capable e-reader.
